About Me:: Dr. Darirth Phat survived the Khmer Rouge atrocities at the age of fourteen. He escaped the Cambodian genocide by fleeing to Vietnam through the Cambodian jungles where he fell into a coma for about one month. He believes that his two eyes were the key to his success in completing his high education. He is committed to setting up an environment that fosters opportunities for blind children to recover their sight in order to succeed in school and life.

Dr. Phat is President of the World Foundation for Asia (WFA). He founded profit and non-profit companies and successfully raised funds in the US and Asia for biotech and not-for profit projects. Prior to that, he has over 12 years of academic experience with leading universities and industrial experience with biotech and major multinational pharmaceutical companies.
